With a close partnership between our internal manufacturing facilities, external partners and suppliers, we create an interdependent global manufacturing network committed to delivering a compliant, reliable supply to customers and patients on time, every time, across the globe.

  • Development

    Development collaborates with clients to ensure seamless product development, focusing on thorough formulation, process and analytical method evaluation for effortless transfer to production. The Lyophilization Center of Excellence team within this group employs advanced statistical designs and data-driven methods to develop safe and effective lyophilization processes.

  • Engineering

    Our Engineering teams are the backbone of strategic initiatives driving efficiency, agility and innovation across biological, chemical, automation and many other domains within our diverse facilities. Through cutting-edge technology and flawless execution, we use finely tuned, reliable equipment and a dedication to continuous improvement to ensure product quality.

  • Commercial

    Our Commercial teams accompany our biotech and pharma clients throughout their outsourcing journey — from technical project definition to delivery of product — helping to anticipate potential hurdles to ensure a premier experience.

    Business Functions encompasses a number of departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Technology, Information Security, Administration and more. Internships

Building a Career at Simtra

The best preparation for professional success is learning by doing. We offer the employees of tomorrow the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in areas that fuel their passion through our internship programs.

Bloomington & Halle/Westfalen

Traditional Internships


Participants spend three to six months working under supervision in a relevant department, where they receive intensive training, fair compensation and valuable networking opportunities.

Halle/Westfalen

Pharmacy Internships



Participants start the pharmacy program in May or November and spend six months engaged in supervised projects offering valuable insight into the production of oncological drugs. Training is carried out within the framework of the licensing regulations for pharmacists (AAppO). Participants are fairly compensated and have the opportunity to network with former participants and working pharmacists.

Halle/Westfalen

Thesis Internships


Participants can choose from a range of practical topics to match their field of study and gain presentation training for the study-mandatory colloquium of their thesis topic. They work with a designated expert and receive fair compensation and networking opportunities to exchange ideas.
